Hydrogel Matrices For Sensing and Cell Growth (finished)
Dextrane-based pH-responsive polymers can be transformed into hydrogel films by using benzophenone as crosslinker and for attachment to a substrate. The as-prepared hydrogel films offer high and adjustable swelling degrees and carboxyl-groups as binding points for analyte recognition units. Especially, in combination with cold surfaces they can be used for sensing with near field modes such as surface plasmons and leaky waveguide modes. Prepared on glass or plastic surfaces they can be optimized as matrix for cell growth studies.
